Our season ends on 15 May with a special performance of Dark Horse (2015, PG), the critically acclaimed documentary about a Welsh village syndicate that owns a champion racehorse. The screening is kindly supported by Film Hub Wales, with National Lottery funding from the British Film Institute.
Tickets have now sold out but we are operating a waiting list. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to be added to the list, and we will be in touch on a first-come-first-served basis as tickets become available.
Alternatively, the film is currently playing in cinemas nationwide, and comes very highly recommended! See https://www.facebook.com/DarkHorseFilm for details.
Thanks to everyone who joined us for Mike Leigh’s Mr. Turner last Friday. It was gratifying to have such a good turn-er out (!) for our penultimate showing this season.
Although the film met with mixed reactions on the night, with as many strongly in favour of the work as there were dissenters, there was plenty of admiration for Timothy Spall’s performance, and the visuals looked stunning in high definition. If nothing else, it provoked a good deal of discussion afterwards, which is no bad thing!
