Earlier this month we applied for funding from Creative Rural Communities to meet 70% of the cost of new blackout blinds for the Village Hall.

Light spill is a perennial problem for film screenings in mixed-use venues, although it’s not so noticeable in the darker months of winter.

We’re very grateful to Lancarfan and District Community Association (which manages the Village Hall) for kindly agreeing to match fund the new blinds alongside a contribution from our own reserves.

We expect to announce the funding decision at our Christmas screening, and if successful the blinds should be in place for the new season of screenings starting January.
