We had a good crowd turn out for Hope Springs last Friday, on an otherwise inclement night. Despite the weather the audience was lively and appreciative, which is just how we like it!
The drama continued even after the screening finished, as we left the hall to discover half the village under water. Thanks to everyone who joined us and we hope you had a trouble free journey home.
The screening was our first since blackout blinds were installed in the hall, and they worked a treat. Once again, we are very grateful to Creative Rural Communities and the LDCA for funding the blinds.
One final point to note: we screened a pre-release copy of the Hope Springs DVD, as the film is not officially available in the shops until 25 February. We will purchase a copy for our members’ library, so if you missed the screening you’ll be able to borrow it for free from the end of next month.
