LLANCARFAN SOCIETY GUEST SPEAKER & AGM:
WORLD RECORD POLAR ADVENTURER MARIA LEIJERSTAM
Tuesday 6 May 2014, 7.30pm

Low res

“On the 27th December 2013, Maria Leijerstam became the first person in the world to cycle from the edge of the Antarctic continent to the South Pole. She also set the new World Record for the fastest human powered coast to pole traverse, completing her journey in 10 days, 14hrs and 56 minutes.” Whiteicecycle.com

We have the extraordinary good fortune to welcome Maria to the village and learn about her epic world record journey. The event is free and open to all. At Maria’s request, money collected on the night will be donated to the Alzheimer’s Society.
