FRIDAY 15 MAY 2015

May marks the close of our screening year before the cinema shuts its doors for the summer. We like to end on a high note, and this year we have something very special planned.

We’re delighted to bring DARK HORSE (2015, PG) to Llancarfan for a fund raising event in aid of the village hall.

Dark Horse tells the remarkable real life story of Dream Alliance, a race horse who won the Welsh Grand National only 18 months after an injury that should have ended his career.

Even more incredibly, the horse is owned by a syndicate living in a former mining village in Wales.

Dark Horse provides a moving, funny and thrilling account of how a group of ordinary people conquered the ‘sport of kings’. It’s a must see for anyone who likes horses, racing or just a good old-fashioned underdog story.

There will be a bar on the night, plus a raffle with the chance to win a Blu ray player and other great prizes. All profits from the event will go to the village hall for much needed updates and repairs.
