There’s an awful lot going on around the village this summer, and we like to do our bit to promote events wherever we can.
If you have any local notices to share, please email llancarfancine@gmail.com with details and we’ll be happy to include them in our pre-screening show and/or on the web site and in our newsletter.
Here’s a selection of forthcoming events:
SUNDAY 16 JUNE
4.30pm
Graham Brain, cycling around Britain for road safety charity BRAKE, is hosting a fund raising BBQ at the Fox and Hounds. There’ll be a raffle and games, with Graham due to arrive around 4.30pm.
FRIDAY 21 JUNE

The Fox and Hounds is laying on a curry night in support of another charity bike ride, this time raising money for Llancarfan Primary School and Dreams & Wishes. A group of dads from the school, along with Head Teacher Colin Smith, will follow St Cadoc’s pilrimage route from Killarney in Ireland to Llancarfan, a distance of some 300 miles. Tickets £10, available to book in advance.
SUNDAY 23 JUNE
The annual Petanque competition, for the Ruth Watts Cup, takes place on the village piste. All welcome.
SATURDAY 13 JULY
The Village Show returns this year with a full programme of events. We plan to host a stall there, selling Joe’s Ice Cream and membership for the new season, which starts in September. The Show schedule is available on request from Ann Ferris, Show Secretary, on 01446 781 350.
SUNDAY 14 JULY
2pm – 4pm
Llancarfan Tennis Club is hosting its annual BBQ Fun Day. There will be food, drinks and tennis-themed fun for the kids. Tickets are available from Julie Archbold and Gaile Griffiths.
